Kulturhaus Spandau

The Kulturhaus Spandau is located in the heart of the historic town center of Spandau, directly next to the historic town hall. Built in the 1930s, the building is a former transformer station. In 1986, it was converted into a cultural center, and today it is known in the district for its cultural diversity, accessibility, and relevance to the community. In addition to providing a varied mix of events such as concerts, theater, cabaret, comedy, magic shows, readings, and poetry slams, the Kulturhaus also offers children’s programs for day-care groups, school classes, and families. The first floor of the building houses the municipal “Galerie Kulturhaus,” which hosts changing exhibitions with a socially inclusive focus. The Kulturhaus also provides a space for the self-help group “Mauerritze.” Additionally, numerous sports, dance, and health courses take place at the Kulturhaus every week, along with rehearsals for the choirs of various institutions and clubs in Spandau. We round things off with a cinema and the Café & Bistro “Unvernunft,” where you can fortify yourself and linger a while. Our customer service center is located on the fourth floor.
We are looking forward to your visit!
